Why this site exists
Just the Dots is an independent learning resource about working with OpenAI Dots. We focus on the everyday questions: what to ask, which context matters, what information is needed, what should require approval, and how to improve the result.
Our aim is a small collection that earns its place on your desk. Clear lessons, concrete examples, and reusable briefs should be more useful than another stream of generic AI advice.
Our Five Dots
Context, Connections, Responsibilities, Boundaries, and Feedback form our teaching framework. It is our own way to organize the questions, not an official OpenAI standard or product configuration format.
Our Dot Brief builder assembles your answers using fixed templates in your browser. It does not use an AI model, create a Dot, connect an account, or change product permissions.
Our editorial approach
- Official sources for product facts. Product-specific claims link to OpenAI documentation. We record the date we actually checked the source.
- Advice is labeled as advice. Our framework and recipes are educational suggestions. They should be adapted and tested on a small sample.
- Source review is separate from testing. The launch recipes are examples. We have not performed hands-on product testing and do not imply otherwise.
- Uncertainty stays visible. We distinguish rollout from universal access, planned features from available ones, and instructions from actual controls. When official pages disagree, we leave the precise claim unpublished.
- Updates are maintained by editors. There is no automated news scraper or automatic publishing process. A site build does not refresh verification dates.
Product pages can change after a source check. Use the linked official documentation and the current notices in your account when making access or settings decisions.

Just the Dots is published by Blisster Inc. Our free lessons and builder sit alongside optional paid guidance. Choosing a paid service is never required to use the learning resources.
Just the Dots is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by OpenAI. OpenAI and its product names belong to their respective owner. We use an original wordmark and five-dot mark.
